The Blues Find Their Rhythm: St. Louis Back on TrackBy Andreas Eriksson (![]() After a rough stretch, the St. Louis Blues have found their groove with two crucial victories over division rivals, bringing their record to 4 wins in the last 5 games. Every game in that stretch has been a nail-biter, each decided by just one goal—three of them going beyond regulation. The resilience and fight from this team are starting to show. Perhaps no moment was bigger than Jakob Chychrun’s surprising shootout call, where he delivered the game-winner to snap Florida’s 10-game winning streak. Against the league leaders, the Blues proved they can compete with anyone when they’re playing at their best. Injury Updates: Jake Neighbours returned to the lineup and wasted no time making an impact, picking up an assist in his first game back. Kasperi Kapanen remains sidelined but is expected to return in five days. The Blues have also kicked off their six-game homestand with mixed results—one win and one loss so far. With four straight games still to come at Enterprise Center, this stretch could define their playoff positioning. It seems like the Blues have changed their tune—both figuratively and literally. The team has shaken things up, found their rhythm, and is clicking again at the right time. With momentum on their side, the upcoming home games present a golden opportunity to keep the good vibes rolling. The Blues Still Feeling the Blues: Tough Road Ahead Before HomestandBy Andreas Eriksson (![]() The Blues Still Feeling the Blues: Tough Road Ahead Before Homestand The St. Louis Blues are facing a pivotal stretch in their season. With two tough road games against division rivals Colorado and Utah ahead, the team is looking to stop the recent slide that has seen them lose ground in the division race. Despite going 5-5 in their last 10 games, the Blues remain in a playoff spot—but the gap to the top has widened, and urgency is starting to set in. To make matters worse, injuries have hit the lineup, sidelining key impact players at a crucial time. However, there is some good news: Kasperi Kapanen is expected to return for the back end of the upcoming six-game homestand. His speed and offensive presence will be a welcome boost, but his long-term future in St. Louis is suddenly in question. Rumors have surfaced that Kapanen may not be interested in signing an extension with the Blues, leading to speculation about a potential trade. Assistant GM Kala Baloo, however, remains committed to proving that St. Louis is a winning organization where Kapanen plays an important role. If the team can string together some wins, perhaps they can convince him that his future should remain with the Blues. Meanwhile, Pavel Buchnevich continues to carry the offensive load, sitting alone as the league's top goal scorer. His consistency has been a bright spot in an otherwise challenging stretch, but he needs more support if the Blues want to climb back up the standings. With the homestand looming, the next few games could determine the direction of the season—and possibly the future of Kapanen in a Blues uniform. Will St. Louis rise to the challenge, or will the blues continue for the Blues?
The Blues Have Gotten the Blues: A Rocky Stretch in St. LouisBy Andreas Eriksson (![]() The Blues Have Gotten the Blues: A Rocky Stretch in St. Louis It’s been a challenging stretch for the St. Louis Blues, who have dropped 4 of their last 5 games, leaving fans and management searching for answers. Despite some bold roster moves aimed at stabilizing the team, results have been hard to come by, and the struggles on the ice have led to some soul-searching in the locker room. In an effort to address glaring lineup gaps, the Blues brought in new faces to bolster the roster. These additions were meant to provide depth and spark much-needed energy, but the early returns have been mixed. Chemistry takes time to develop, and while flashes of potential have been evident, the team is still waiting for the new pieces to fully click. These acquisitions came at a cost, as the Blues parted with valuable draft picks to make the deals happen. The moves show a clear message from management: the Blues are focused on winning now, not looking to rebuild. It’s a bold strategy that puts pressure on the current roster to deliver results and prove the team can compete in the present. Assistant GM Kala remains optimistic despite the recent struggles. “This group has the talent to turn things around,” Kala said. “It’s just about putting it all together and finding consistency. We believe in the players we’ve brought in and the core we have. With a shooting percentage under 10%, we are actively looking for a goal scorer as the last piece of the puzzle.” With plenty of season left, the Blues aren’t giving up on their goal. The question is: will the recent shakeups be enough to steady the ship, or are more changes on the horizon? Time will tell, but for now, it’s safe to say the Blues are feeling the blues.
