Welcome to D.C, Matt Roy! Roy, 29, is a great defensive defenseman and will boost the team's defensive unit with his arrival.
Carlson expressed his desire to try and compete for another Stanley Cup before he hangs up his skates, a desire which can't be fulfilled in Washington since the team is slowly entering a rebuild. Jeannot, 27, scored 7 points in 30 games for Tampa Bay Lightning this past season and Capitals are hoping his arrival can boost the team's bottom six group.
